Mary Dinaburg brings to Tulum Inside Out four decades of experience in the art world. From setting up galleries and private advising to exhibitions and projects with major museums and corporations. She has worked all over the globe, with extensive experience in Asia. She has experience working with pre-eminent artists including, among many others, Julian Schnabel, Isa Genzken, Sigmar Polke, and William Legman.
Mandy d’Abo is a Zimbabwean native, her parents moved to London in 1977. Mandy has always been passionate about art and an avid collector, and in 2006 opened her first gallery the Cat Street Gallery on Hollywood Road, Hong Kong. Her vision was to have the opportunity to exhibit the best of international and contemporary modern art in her gallery in Hong Kong and having the platform to champion talent and to discover artists from all over the world.
In 2010, she opened The Space, an old meat packing warehouse, along side the Cat Street Gallery, where she curated her Cat Street Gallery blockbuster shows. During the 12 years that Mandy was at the helm of the gallery, over 200 exhibitions were staged, artists exhibited include Sir Peter Blake, Gavin Turk, Chris Levine , The Connor Brothers, David Mach, Polly Morgan, Guy Maestri, Joshua Yeldham amongst others .
Mandy moved back in England in 2017 and continues to pursue her passion in the arts, supporting and discovering young talent, as well as consulting on residential and commercial art projects, private collections and involved in curating shows.
Carlos arrived in Tulum in 2011 and has watched it grow into a thriving holiday destination but believes passionately in building a more diverse and secure region for its permanent residents. He wants to give them both access to international art and also promote the art and culture, specifically the Mayan language, to the local community.
Carlos is a researcher at heart and has a particular interest in ancient art and its effect on cultural development both in Mexico and across the globe.
Andrew Nicolls lives between Tulum, New York and London and has always been passionate about art. Apart from having built a substantial collection of affordable art that is housed in his house in the south west of France and a number of storage units! He has been involved in numerous art projects with galleries and auction houses since 1990.
Andrew believes in both supporting emerging artists but also in really knowing the person and what makes them tick. He sees an enormous opportunity to introduce a diverse international art scene to the Rivera Maya.
